Travel is the movement of people between distant geographical locations. Travel can be done by foot, bicycle, automobile, train, boat, bus, airplane, ship or other means, with or without luggage, and can be one way or round trip. Travel can also include relatively short stays between successive movements, as in the case of tourism.
We all have travel in life. Travelling has now become
the eccence of the life. People used to travel for different purposes. We all
know it cost money to travel. Today I am going to talk about the person who has
travel many country with almost no money.
Many people daydream about traveling the world, but
all of them have the same excuse - lack of money. Tomislav, after traveling the
world for years with almost no money, shows how it is possible for everyone to
do the same, if they really want to.
Tomislav Perko, 29, is a travel writer from Croatia. After a career of a stockbroker, broke because of the financial crisis, he hits the road and turns it into his home. He uses alternative ways of traveling – hitchhiking, couchsurfing, working/volunteering, and manages to wander around the world with just a little bit of money in his pocket, meeting the most amazing people
Tom loves travelling but due to lots
of difficulty such as money, no travel experience, language etc. he listen the
story of tracelers , they told him that you must not need to be brave to travel
you only need to have the courage to start your journey. It motivates him up.
He divided the travel expenses into the
three categories.
1. 1. Transportation
2.
2. Accomodation
3.
3. Food,cloth etc
If we
manage to expend less in those things it will be more cheaperto trave than to
live in your own city. After this he started his journey of trsvelling.
He first
started his journey by hichhiking. He said that apart of being fast, luxurious
it allows him to have an adventure.
According
to him, the rules for hichhicing are:-
At first
you have to be sure in the right direction and right road and outside the city
areas. Second thing is stick with the thumb as shown in the picture.
Another important rule is to look good,
wear clean clothes and never hichhiked during the night time. Always be in a
good mood and wait till someone pick you.
You can also travel for free in
exchange of working like cooking, nightwatch etc.
The second one is accomodation. When it
comes to accomodation you can carry a tent and a sleeping bag and you will get
a free accomodation . you can also do voluntering in exchange for the
accomodation.
The next one is expenses in the food.
You can allways buy the food in the suermarket which will be cheap. You can
cook with the host in excahnge for the food. Another thing is used food from dumpster
diving. Dumpster diving is salvaging from large commercial, residential,
industrial and construction containers for unused items discarded by their
owners, but deemed useful to the picker.
